Understanding symbols and designing your own flag

Participants learn about the significance of animal and plant symbols. They then design their own flag and explore symbolism in a creative way.

Communication using flags

What exactly is the difference between flags and banners? And why do flags hold such great significance for so many people? In football, for example, they are a familiar sight in stadiums. But flags are not just symbols of belonging. They can also be used to communicate. We will learn how semaphore works and try it out ourselves.
