This tour examines both the criminal war of aggression waged by Nazi Germany and the later air war over Germany.

Forced labour for the war effort

Another key focus is the Nazi system of forced labour. For the Luftwaffe’s armaments – not least for the construction of the much-touted ‘wonder weapons’ – forced labourers were exploited under inhumane conditions.

Here, it becomes strikingly clear how closely technical progress and brutal crimes were intertwined.
