In this two-part educational programme, members of the Bundeswehr engage with current topics of personal development in a single day.

How can we respond to the security challenges posed by an authoritarian actor? And what makes authoritarian leadership seem attractive in times of crisis? What are the strengths and weaknesses of different forms of government? How can a form of government be changed? What would need to change to transform a democracy into an authoritarian system? And what needs to be done to introduce democratic structures into an authoritarian state?

In our interactive workshop, you will plan such a transformation as a team. However, you have only limited options and little time, so you will need creative, revolutionary ideas. We’re keen to hear them! We will discuss the pros and cons of democracy, dictatorship and monarchy with you.

Guided tour after the workshop

The workshop will be followed by a lunch break. In the second part of the event, participants will gain valuable insights into the history of the Bundeswehr through our guided tour ‘70 Years of the German Air Force’.

The German Air Force was officially established in 1956, one year after the Bundeswehr itself was founded, and has continued to develop ever since. Between tradition and new beginnings, relief flights and combat missions, the Starfighter crisis and reunification, the tour traces the complex history of the German Air Force through fascinating exhibits such as a rare Zell Starfighter and the last German MiG-29.
